Can a DRC-01 summary replace a proper show cause notice under Section 73?
No. A summary in Form DRC-01 cannot stand in for the show cause notice that Section 73 requires. GSTAT Lucknow set aside the entire proceedings where the SCN had been addressed to another taxpayer, holding them void from the start.

One platform

Three tools you already trust, now working as one.

A notice comes in, you research the law, you draft the reply, you track the deadline. Until now that meant three logins and a lot of copy-paste. On Taxonation, each step hands over to the next — the AI cites the E-Library, and the notice opens straight into a draft reply.

1Taxonation.AI

The AI that actually knows Indian tax law.

Six modes, one verified source. Behind every answer is Taxonation's curated GST and Income Tax database — not the open internet — so every line traces back to a judgment, section or circular.

Ask anything. Get a cited answer.

Describe a scenario, a transaction or a doubt in English, Hindi or a mix. You get a direct answer in seconds — not a list of links — grounded in the Taxonation database.

Can I file an appeal before GSTAT while my first appeal under Section 107 is still pending?
No — it would be premature. An appeal under Section 112 lies only against an order passed under Section 107 or 108. The Chennai bench of GSTAT dismissed such an appeal as not maintainable, with liberty to file afresh once the first appellate order is passed.

What most "AI tax tools" do

  • Answer from the open internet
  • Give no citations — or invent them
  • Have no legal database behind them
  • Learn from blogs that may be wrong
  • Offer no way to verify the answer

What Taxonation.AI does

  • Every citation is real and opens the source
  • Answers use only verified judgments and circulars
  • Says "I don't know" rather than guess
  • Links straight into the full text in the E-Library
  • Built for professionals who have to file the reply
2GST & Income Tax E-Library

Your firm's reference shelf, online.

India's largest tax e-library — two full shelves, GST and Income Tax, kept current as rules and rulings change. The AI answers fast; the E-Library is where you read a source in full, cross-check a citation, or browse the traditional way.
